Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood blackjack rules
What players report about the blackjack tables at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, what it means for your strategy, and what to check before you sit down.

The short version
Plan for a 6- or 8-deck game where the dealer hits soft 17, doubling after splits is allowed and surrender isn’t. Only sit at tables that pay 3 to 2.
Skip 6:5 tables
A 6:5 blackjack payout adds about 1.4% to the house edge. That’s more than double the edge of the whole game with perfect strategy. Read the felt first.

Seminole casinos set rules table by table and change them over time. Player reports are the best public information available, and some are several years old. The felt and the placard on each table are the final word.
Which strategy chart to use here
Use the dealer-hits-soft-17, no-surrender chart. Compared with a stand-on-17 game, these are the plays that matter most at this casino:
- Hard 11 vs A: double (hit if you can’t). Why
- Soft 18 (A,7) vs 2: double (stand if you can’t). Why
- Soft 19 (A,8) vs 6: double (stand if you can’t). Why
- Hard 16 vs 10: hit. Why
- Hard 15 vs 10: hit. Why
- Pair of 8s vs A: split. Why
Surrender plays are hits here unless your table offers surrender. 16 vs 10 and 15 vs 10 become hits; 8,8 vs an ace stays a split.
Before you sit down
- Read the payout line on the felt: “Blackjack pays 3 to 2.” If it says 6 to 5, keep walking.
- Read the line under it: “Dealer must hit soft 17” or “Dealer stands on all 17s.” Set the trainer to match.
- Check the placard for the minimum and maximum bet, and whether mid-shoe entry is allowed.
- If you play Double Deck, note that doubling is restricted (9–11 on the shoe game) and the strategy differs slightly from the shoe chart.
- Skip Double Down Madness unless you want the novelty: no splits and no surrender.
Other games on the floor
Per the casino’s own table-games page, Hard Rock Hollywood also spreads Blackjack Switch, Free Bet Blackjack, Spanish 21, Super 4 Progressive Blackjack and TriLux Blackjack. Each has its own strategy; the chart on this site is for standard blackjack only.
