Seminole Casino Coconut Creek blackjack rules
What players report about the blackjack tables at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, where the reports conflict, and what to check before you sit down.
Last reviewed 2026-10-04 · rules not yet verified in person
The short version
Expect hand-shuffled six-deck tables with real dealers. The blackjack payout is disputed: a January 2026 player report says 6:5 on at least some tables, so read the felt before you sit.
Skip 6:5 tables
A 6:5 blackjack payout adds about 1.4% to the house edge. That’s more than double the edge of the whole game with perfect strategy. Read the felt first.

Seminole casinos set rules table by table and change them over time. Where no public source documents a rule, the table says so plainly instead of guessing. The felt and the placard on each table are the final word.
Which strategy chart to use here
Use the dealer-hits-soft-17, no-surrender chart. Until the table rules are confirmed in person, this is the default chart for Florida shoe games. Compared with a stand-on-17 game, these are the plays to know:
- Hard 11 vs A: double (hit if you can’t). Why
- Soft 18 (A,7) vs 2: double (stand if you can’t). Why
- Soft 19 (A,8) vs 6: double (stand if you can’t). Why
- Hard 16 vs 10: hit. Why
- Hard 15 vs 10: hit. Why
- Pair of 8s vs A: split. Why
These assume the common Florida setup (dealer hits soft 17, no surrender). Read the felt and set the trainer switches to match your table.
Before you sit down
- Read the payout line first: with the payout disputed here, “Blackjack pays 3 to 2” versus “6 to 5” decides whether the table is worth your time.
- Read the soft-17 line under it and set the trainer to match.
- Check the placard for minimums and whether mid-shoe entry is allowed.
- Ask the dealer about surrender and doubling rules if the placard is unclear.
Other games on the floor
The casino runs a Live Blackjack Progressive side bet ($5, five progressive jackpots) and lists Spanish 21 among its table games. Each variant has its own strategy; the chart on this site is for standard blackjack only.
